“For all that has been, Thanks. To all that will be, Yes!” Dag Hammarskjöld
“Wisdom through the ages comes down on the side of yes. To answer yes changes the way we view life and the way we live it. Something harmonious happens when we lean into that affirmation with heart, soul, and mind. Science tells us that our cells actually change structure, the immune system is strengthened, relationships deepen, and irrational joy and peace emerge.” (Linda Dourty, Rhythms of Growth, p. 42)
Are you willing to say yes to what you want? Are you willing to feel yes? Do you feel a push-back to either of those questions? Pay attention. There’s no “bad” in that, rather it is a call to pay attention to the push-back, a call to use tapping: first to figure out where the push-back comes from, what the fear or concern is, and then to use tapping to release it. This may be a place where you want some help. Know that you can always email to set up a session. The more you have tapped and narrowed down the issue, the faster we will be able to deal with it! And if you cannot approach it at all, then definitely ask for help!
Your goals should be SMART – specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely. Remember that achievable just needs to be possible, even if you don’t think you can do it right now. Think about what you can gain, rather than what you want to lose. You’ll notice I usually talk about releasing weight, rather than losing it. When you lose your keys, you want to find them. When you release something, it’s a very different feeling.
