Books: This is a list of just a few of the books that I have found helpful.

Kuhlreet Chaudhary, The Prime, 2016 – an Ayurvedic approach to healing the gut that is easy enough to do and leads to spontaneous weight loss

Giulia Enders, Gut, 2015 – more about how the gut works than you ever thought possible, written for the layperson in a light-hearted style

Jason Fung, The Obesity Code, 2016 – stunning and clear explanation of what makes us fat and what to do about it, very technical

Jason Fung and Eva Mayer, Life in the Fasting Lane, 2020 – takes The Obesity Code and tells you what and how to do it all

Gabor Maté,  In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts, 2009 – and also look him up on youtube, the best going for understanding addictions (if you don’t think addiction work is part of your issue, just go without any added sugar for a week or two)

Jo Robinson, Eating On the Wild Side, 2013 – how to find the most nourishing food in a standard American supermarket, it’s fascinating

Pedram Shojai, The Urban Monk, 2016 – walks you through how to live well without having to go live in a monastery

Gary Taubes,  Why We Get Fat, 2010 – gives a lot of the history about fat-phobia, the science we need to know, his earlier book is more technical, this one is for the layperson

Alberto Villoldo,  Grow A New Body, 2019 – he’s proof of how to grow a new body, this book lays out the whole program if you don’t want to spend thousands going to his spa
